Benefits of Personal Coaching
Often referred to as Life Coaching, Personal Coaching assists people to live a more fulfilled life. Coaching allows people to gain clarity and insight into where they are at now and to develop a clear vision of ideally how they’d like their life to be. It then assists people to bridge that gap, showing them how they can overcome the obstacles along the way.
The practical benefits of coaching are ultimately that it can change your life. Through the coaching process you will discover things about yourself you never realised and start to look at yourself and at life differently. Specifically coaching allows people to identify and change the beliefs that have held them back in the past. It assists them to get a really clear vision of where they want to be in life and then to identify which paths they can take in order to get to that destination.
Much like climbing a mountain, once we clearly understand where we are now, what our strengths and weaknesses are and where we need to get to we can start to plan and prepare by mapping out the route, planning what to take with us and what to leave behind and by understanding the effort required to get there but at the same time trusting how worthwhile it will be once we are standing on the top!
Another great benefit of coaching is that it changes how we think and feel about ourselves and raises our self esteem. As we feel better about ourselves, this flows on to every area of our lives allowing us to have better relationships, to make better decisions and to have more confidence in everything that we do.
Coaching also leads to people gaining a clearer picture of who they really are and what unique gifts they bring to life. It allows them to connect at a soul level with a clear life purpose which will lead them to fulfilment. Ultimately it allows them to live life as an authentic person rather than constantly wearing a ‘mask’ in an effort to fit in and conform to what they think society expects of them.
Clients often start coaching to work on a specific area such as their career, health and fitness, relationships or finances or to achieve other specific goals. Coaching will assist them to achieve all these things, but it will also go much deeper, giving them the wider benefits of a much higher self- awareness, and self-acceptance from which stems high self-esteem and ultimately the ability to live a life that is true to themselves.
Coaching will benefit anyone, in any situation, if they want to improve something about their life. Just as the best sports people work with coaches to get even better, everyone can benefit from coaching no matter where they are at right now. Taking up coaching is not a sign of weakness but actually a sign of strength and a show of courage, overcoming the fear of taking that first positive step! We all have the potential to get more out of life and a coach helps you see how this is achievable for you and will assist you in making it happen!
