What’s in a name?
Pure first came about as Pure Health and Fitness, the company I first formed at a time when I focused on helping people with their physical health and wellness through personal training and nutritional advice. Since then the name has expanded to Pure Health and Wellbeing encapsulating more of what I do.
I chose the word Pure as it relates to a number of things of me.
I love the imagery of a water droplet which I have used to represent the Pure name. On one hand it represents the purity and health giving properties of water itself. Our bodies are mostly made up of water and its no surprise that when we consider that every cell in our body is made up by the things we ingest that we would naturally want to put the very best things in.
On the other hand it symbolises the incredible impact that ripples out into our lives when we do take positive steps in terms of our wellbeing. I have seen many clients literally transform their lives in many different ways and feel privileged to have been that “water drop” for them at the time they needed it.
I am also someone who values honesty and integrity very highly and I link this back to the word pure also. To me its about doing the best I can for myself and those around me without any “artificial additives” so to speak.
Lastly pure relates to our natural state of being. When we are born we all come into the world with total innocence and trust. As we grow up we are influenced by everyone and everything around us and right from a very young age form beliefs that determine how we live our lives. Often times we hold onto beliefs that relate back to the times we’ve been hurt (mentally, emotionally & physically) and so we lose our natural state of total trust that life will actually look after us. Part of the work I do through coaching assists people to uncover any core beliefs they may have which hold them back from getting all they can out of life. We can all let go of the attachments and beliefs that don’t serve us well and chose to live in our natural pure state of happiness.
